READY

I would like to share A favorite poem.  A just because.

REASON – SEASON – LIFETIME

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

— Unknown

I am hiking up the rugged mountain, anxious to reach the clearing, to break through the clouds and face the bright, promising sun.

These past couple of days have brought great clarity to a mind that seemed to have lingered a bit too long in the fog of confusion. Feelings of displacement had taken a hold of my spit-fire spirit, leading me to believe that I was “lost” in many areas of my life. During this time I gravitated, or rather, my heart with all its trappings of love gravitated towards a kindred spirit and made a mess of a beautiful season.

Today, I spoke with a longtime friend and fellow writer and we parlayed on our writings and publishings and current affairs. During this phone call I gained added perspectives on my now and yes, I was in a fog. Yes, I was escaping my moments and yes, I was seeking light with my kindred spirit and all was well with the world, until it wasn’t.

It was after the call ended that he texted me a quote, and I loved it.  I thought it was his quote and that he was sending me inspiration. I re-read the text and saw how in bold letters he wrote a message at the bottom of the quote that brought tears to my eyes. How did I forget?

Friendships are imperative to our well being. To have a Tribe of Goal-Getting minds regardless of the directions their purpose go, is the gift. The up-lifting of each other that sew our coat of arms into a brilliant tapestry.

I thank you Luis, for this peaceful & powerful reminder.

READY

“Another year. Another celebration.                                                                                  Another scar.

I am ready to embark into something new, something different, something that has been awaiting my arrival.

I am ready to live the life that I was born to live.”

(Margarita de Margarita – Soul Searching for Peace 2006)

Luis sent: LIVE YOUR WORDS!

I say; Try not to linger too long in the fog, but when you do, because you will… Step out READY to conquer the life you were born to live. Do it with Love, Self-Love.
