Aaaahhhhhhhhhh, (screaming out loud) Yelling, fists clenched and jumping up and down in a tantrum, with tears brimming,…. because, I did it. I really did it.
I gained weight while under quarantine, during the pandemic, surviving CORONA VIRUS (in my Cardi B voice) Like WTF?? It’s bad enough I had gained weight, in my mid section, looking like a freakin muffin top and all thanks to Menopause. (this is my story and I am sticking to it!)
Here is my take on it all. SIT STILL. CLEAR YOUR THOUGHTS. BREATHE.
Do not forget for one single moment just who the hell you are at this very moment, weight gain and all.
You see, in March 2020 – Our world came to a stand still and we learned to adapt and make the best of our circumstances. We learned to appreciate the little things in life. We learned of things we might not have had the time nor desires to learn or better yet re-learn of the simplicity of life and all things natural.
I sat with myself and quietly whispered; You got this.
You are a Wonder Woman and here is why, Your life as you knew it was put on time-out, and in that time out, you discovered parts of you that were weighed down by life’s circumstances. You might have discovered talents such as writing, sketching, painting, jewelry designing, cooking, baking, even going live with a new Podcast. extras: enjoying spending time, like 24/7, with your immediate family. You adjusted and made the changes smoothly, why? Because you had to. Point – Blank – Period.
In the midst of it all, I learned that I must first,
- Sit Still
- Clear my mind
- BREATHE
- Be Grateful
- Be Intentional
- Speak kindness to my Heart – Speak kindness to my Spirit – Speak kindness to ME.
The time-out will be lifted, life will resume, and the weight WILL COME OFF.
Adjust to your NOW. Live in your Moment and Believe that You are Important and Beautiful and STRONG.
*GET TO WORK – *EAT HEALTHIER – *EXERCISE – *PRACTICE SELF LOVE – *LIVE.
We might have gained more weight than we desired and we are frustrated, maybe angry with ourselves but, the real question here is; Did you die? No. So, Acknowledge that you gained. Accept all the facts about it. Feel the weight of it all (pun intended). Let-Go of all the negative energies surrounding the weight gain. Then CELEBRATE YOURSELF.
For you are Strong and Beautiful and Healthy as you are at this very moment.
Go out into the world and Live in your quarantined body with love, and gratitude, until you create your desired body. LIVE HAPPILY.
